Newbee and query
Discussion
Hi guys n girls,
I'm Kameron from Taunton.
I have a query, my partner is kindly giving me a limit of £10,000 to spend on a car for my 40th next year, what do I buy?
The cars for commuting and private driving, it must carry 3 persons, have some boot space, great performace and not bad running expenses.
Ideas so far are: Audi A4 or A6, Vauxhall Insignia, Ford Focus RS or something similar.
Please give me some ideas, its difficult to pick a car when you've been thrown 10k and told to buy yourself a drive.
Current cars a Honda Civic S Type so my next cars gonna be a great upgrade.
Willing to spend £200 per year tax and have 19yrs no claims bonus so most quotes are fairly cheap, its just the fuel costs etc.
All advice appreciated.

Plenty of choice for £10k, so I'll just throw some ideas your way that (vaguely) fit your criteria. If any of them take your fancy, you can always ask on here and get plenty of info from current owners/ forum experts.
Heavy drinkers/ V8 loveliness
Heavy drinkers/ V8 loveliness
- Vauxhall Monaro 5.7 V8 (big GT coupe with engine from a Chevy Corvette)
- Jaguar XKR/ XJR/ S-Type R
- BMW E39 M5
- Mercedes C55 AMG
- Audi S4 Cabriolet (or a lower power non-V8 if you want lower fuel consumption)
- BMW 645ci
- Mazda 6 MPS (make sure you get one that was registered before March(I think it was March) 2006 as road tax is far cheaper for cars before the goverment tax increases for newer cars)
- Mazda 3 MPS
- Saab 93 HOT Aero
- Volvo S60R/ Volvo S40 T5
- BMW 130i (these seems like a good fit on the whole for your criteria imo)
- Audi A3 3.2 Quattro (like a Golf R32, but cheaper)
- Alfa Romeo 147 GTA
- Golf GTi
- Ford Focus ST
- Vauxhall Astra VXR
- Honda Civic Type R
