I seem to attract damage to our car. both times whilst not even being in it. both times no details left.

First one was outside the house, it looks like a 4x4 /van has reversed into the rear passenger quarter - massive dent in whole panel and taken some of the wheel arch lip with it frown

then this yesterday whilst parked outside the post office frown

i suspect a flat bed lorry or something where they have overhang on the rear as there was no damage on the bumper itself just a scrape on the bonnet.

I'm out of work at the moment and can barely afford to put fuel in, let alone get stuff like this repaired frown

No CCTV or witnesses on either case frown

Neighbour didnt have a supermarket delivery that night did they? My neighbours car got damaged the night we had a delivery. My CCTV had caught the delivery driver backing into their car, seeing what he had done, getting back in and pulling forward before doing the worlds fastest delivery and driving off.

Did they get caught/pay up?

fk sake. Sorry to see this - it looks nasty.

I'm currently doing my best to try and get a quote for my VX after some fella jumped a red and crashed into me.
Very afraid it will be uneconomical to repair even thought it is just cosmetic frown

And as no witnesses stopped at the scene and there are no cameras on the lights I've convinced myself his insurance company will just say I jumped the lights and it will end up 50/50.

Very annoying- has happened to me in the past.

That said, your car's easily resolved by buying a bonnet in the same colour from a breakers- there must be a fair few astra bonnets about! Can't be that expensive, then just bolt on yourself and job's a goodun wink

Yes. I burnt my neighbour a disk of the footage and she contacted head office. Soon as the video was mentioned they accepted liability.

I only put the cameras up because we returned from Moto GP Le Mans in 2011 to find that my daily had been hit while we were away. It was off the road in front of my garage. The roads a dead end so no traffic frown

A lamp post opposite that had been out for ages was working when we returned, well when I say working, it's been on constant since then. Apparently someone had been looking at it. My guess is they hit the car.

Sucks though. No respect of property anymore
