Winter Tyre Prices
Discussion
So I thought I'd buy a new set of winter tyres for my wife's car and beat the rush...
Looked on Camskill and they have no stock of loads of them and the prices of what they do have seem to be 20% up on what I paid 2 yrs ago.
Took a look on Ebay and same story.
Am I too late / too early or has supply reduced and prices increased ?

Get onto www.clickontyres.com and get her some Vredestein Snowtrac's, sorted.
Update - Tried MyTyres (I used to use them a few years ago until I found Camskill were cheaper)
However for Winter tyres they have a much bigger selection and at far better prices.
Just bought a set of Falkens in 205 55 16 for £220 delivered (£55 each)
They also sell the Avons for a similar price (which are what I bought last time and at about the same price so it looks like some are profiteering)

Is that the Falken Eurowinter HS439's?The Avon Ice Tourings she's had the last few years got relatively poor reviews and they were fantastic - her A6 easily went up hills when Range Rovers were spinning their wheels.

Got replacements for the ML two weeks back and they're cheaper than ever, despite being monster-truck sized General Grabber ATs. They have started to go up in price - I have been watching them for about 4 months now - and bought just as they turned.
Grabber ATs aren't a winter tyre per se. You can run these all year round no problem.I imagine it's a shade too early, but yeah, it seems Mytyres are an excellent source!
If anyone reading is looking to source some 195/65 R15s nice and early, I have a set of Uniroyal MS+66s. They were awesome, but they only did 1000 miles and look exactly as they did when I fitted them! They'll go on eBay sometime soon, with the Audi 5x112 alloys they're mounted on, but if you want them PM me

Not the winter tyres b
ks again!
If you're too poor to buy them that's fine.
ks again!Just don't bother reading, let alone commenting, on these threads.
If you (generic) want them, buy them. If they aren't your thing keep your money in your pocket and everyone is happy.

Damn, if they were only 195/65/15's! I'm sold on Winter tyres after showing up big fancy 4x4's in my little Polo a few years ago If anyone reading is looking to source some 195/55 R15s nice and early, I have a set of Uniroyal MS+66s.
