I'm designing a storage box to fit to the A-frame of my trailer tent so trying to work out what size I can make it without the car fouling it on full lock.

I have made the below drawing to try and work out the size I can make it. An I on the right track?

All dimensions are to a scale of 1:10

Cheers

I would go for firm rubber bump strips on the edges of the box or keep the floor plan of the box within the a-frame and go for height.

No complex solutions I'm afraid

Yes looks good. You will also need some sort of wheels on it to move it smoothly along the road.

Could you not hook the thing up, put the car on full lock and see?

I think I would gain more of an understanding with it drawn first. Then I can design the box around that.

The rubber strips are a good idea and thanks for the advice on height. I plan to store two 13kg propane bottles I there so need the width too. Plus, I'm limited on height as its a trailer tent and I don't want the box rising above the trailer. Will look a bit naff smile
