Whilst there are plenty of 2 door coupes, convertibles and sports cars with pop-up headlamps, there don't seem to be many 4/5 door saloons.

The only production cars I can think of are:

Aston Martin Lagonda

Honda Accord

Mazda 323

Are there any others?

There were a few American cars with covered lights, such as Cadillac, but not [pendant] true pop-ups [/pedant].

Honda Ballade had lights that popped up when the main beam was turned on;

And the first gen Honda Integra could be had as a pop up equipped hatch;

Except it's an estate, not a saloon.
This fits better:

I can't think of anything that hasn't already been mentioned.

It was a kit car and not ENTIRELY sure it was four door but definitely four seats but Quantum did something in the early nineties that looked like a mk4 escort with pop up lights.

NO,YES,NO.

Quantum with the 2+2 and saloon had covers over the headlights that flipped down to show the fiesta lights.

Is that a Mk2 Cavalier with a different front end grafted on? I can recall there being a Pontiac version of the Mk2 Astra called the Le Mans IIRC so it would make sense that they'd be plundering other bits of the GM euro stable at the time.

They are related, but I don't know which came first, the Vauxhall or the Chevy. Could have been a tie. biggrin

Never driven the Euro version, but I have been in a few Chevy Cavaliers and they were woeful. A co-worker bought one brand new and was openly laughed at for weeks.
