BRZ? You'll be waiting until 2013
Discussion
Just got this from Subaru...
"Currently, the number of vehicles available in the UK remains very small. In order that as many people as possible can see and test drive the vehicle, all of our sales dealer partners have either a demonstrator model or access to a regional demonstrator car for this purpose. Therefore if you would like to see and test drive the BRZ, now is the time to contact your local dealer.
It is likely to be early in 2013 before new vehicle stock will arrive in the UK, with customer deliveries available from March 2013 onwards. You are therefore advised to visit your local dealer to see the BRZ in the flesh at your earliest convenience.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued interest in the BRZ and in Subaru UK."
Oh dear.

are they assembled in the same plant?
Yep and Japan has quite a few of them. I suspect they're trying to fill an order book but I think it'll backfire on them.Customers have waited long enough and even the dealers I spoke to in March were saying Q3 deliveries. Looks like a bit of a cock up on Subaru UK's part. Again.
I received the same mailshot. I was seriously leaning more towards the Subaru version as they offered more perks than Toyota.
BUT I'm not jumping through hoops just to see and demo one, and play the 'it's so exclusive, here have a 10 min slot, that's your lot game.' Especially as it's not genuine supply, they're just being massively greedy.
Whilst I was out in Japan in April I spent a while in a couple of Toyota dealers seeing what they were like in the flesh, and I've gotta say the press shots really don't do them justice. Also a bitter pill to swallow with how much £ they're expecting us to stump up, and no offer of the RC version.
