Hey people you may remember my thread a week or so ago regarding advice on geting a hot hatch well I finally decided in the end after what felt like weeks of thought lol and I picked up a mk5 r32 golf yesterday morning and I'm actually more happier than I thought I would be with my decision so thanks for all advice guys it was very much appreciated smile

Anyways since geting my little buy my cousin has got into the hunger zone of wanting a new car and wants some advice/ideas he's got a budget of 10k and is a full on petrol head so most things fast appeal to him I told him to go for a BMW m3 e46 what would you go for ?

That would be my choice, or a mint Sapphire if he wanted some change. Cosworths are going up in value (especially 3 doors) so he should easily get that ten grand back in a few years time. They do need regular maintenance, but they are reliable when looked after and are cheap to service....And lets face it, what else do you see on the road nowadays that attracts so much love and respect of the public?

An R32 like yours, perhaps? Loved mine. Not a huge amount of grunt but a sensational noise.
Or, in a sure sign I have been spending too much time on here, how about something like this?

I like the idea of these.. But all the HPFP and turbo issues put me off. I'd not want one unless covered by BMW warranty, which kind of means you can't remap either.

Hmm, well I've already got my stock suggestion - a TVR Chimaera.

What else ... a 968 Sport maybe? A Westfield? An Elise? A Z3M Roadster (based, admittedly, on the coupe suggestion above)? An Impreza P1? Lancia Delta Integrale? If you were feeling brave maybe a ('90s model) Maserati Ghibli? A very nice Clio Trophy with change to spare?

It's a dilemma I could spend hours on and the answer would never be the same for two days in a row. Right at this second, though, I quite fancy a sonorous little roadster, so I'll go for a Z3M.

As long as we're loving 3.2L V6s, why not one of these?
