the fastest car in the UK for under £500? I know you could get a Motorbike for that (possibly) but surely theres not much thats quicker for this amount of cash?

You'll often see a Rover 620ti at around that price. 0-60 in 7.2s, 143mph.

I wouldn't recommend any primate tries driving at all, let alone looking for the fastest vehicle to put one in. What is this country coming to?

PH's own Monkey favours the GT3 RS 4.0. Although I believe it costs somewhat more than a, err, monkey.
