Honestly that's the first thing I thought!

Assuming it's a 2011 car its still £25/30k's worth!

Hopefully he has Social, Domestic, Pleasure, Commuting and Sailing cover.

Wow, that sucks, as asked above, would insurance cover this?

Or would it come under the organisers insurance? My guess is they didn't have a sign up in the car park stating parking at your own risk blah blah blah

Nope, the event organiser is not liable for the damage. In which universe is the event organiser responsible for the weather, and so for the damage to a car caused by the weather? Not this one, sorry.

Could have been worse..

•7am – event management met with Police to discuss the flash flood and whether the event can continue. Certain areas of the site are now under 1.5m of water.
