They don't look down their noses at me because I have a far superior car to them...

That's "their noses", I think you'll find. [/grammar snob]

Fail Two. If there is more than one of these mysterious beings, and each has a nose, then you need to say "their noses", or do they have one nose that they share between them, a bit like the Graeae sisters and their single eye?

There's a natural pecking order, for example:

Gallardo Spyder>BMW Z4>Audi A3.

Somewhere along the lines, a Ford Edsel appears, but no one knows where.

I was really suprised when I got my second scooter, a Vespa PX125.

Couldn't believe the number of Lamberetta owners who would pipe up with something like 'I shouldn't be talking to you because you've only got a Vespa'.
Massive pointless snobbery. Got more nods & good converstaions with Superbike owners when I was out on the Vespa!

Have found that most classic car drivers wave back when I'm out in my MGB.
Jaguar E Type drivers seem to wave back the least though.

I used to get it all the time. All my friends driving their mother's bland little under-5-year-old hatchbacks would never shut up with the "shed", "scrap metal", "tin shed on wheels" comments about my Series Land Rover. I always used to tell them that at least it was *my* car....

Buying a top spec Disco 2 soon shut up all their comments though!

A friend of mine is a terrible snob. It seems a Merc ML is a superior to most and a Q5 will allow her to look further down her nose at the riff raff.

My car is old, I've had it for a long time. It owes me nothing and I can afford to change it at any time, but choose to keep running it.

Just out of interest, the inverse size rule applies to me and new plate Fords

Fiesta: Owner - Leased - Payment Plan - Hire
Focus: Owner - Leased - Payment Plan - Hire - Company Car
Mondeo: Owner - Leased - Payment Plan - Hire - Company Car - Hertz Rental
Transit: My drive doesn't need tarmacing.

yeah don't you hate it when a snot shoots out your nose when you laugh?

Extra awkward point if it lands directly on the hot chicks face you were chatting to...
