option 1: not his car and getting own back on someone who has pissed him off.
option 2: murdered someone in it and trying to get rid of the evidence!

When I was 17 (23 years ago eek) I got a summer job as a valeter at the Renault dealer in Chester.

The valeting was run by a sub contract co, and they helped me along while learning.

Anyway, it was common practice on used cars to use the power washer on the seats, carpets and sometimes the headlining. I mean common as in 60% of the cars.

They were then vacuumed with a wet and dry vacuum and left to dry!

I even did it to my own beloved Nova 1.3 SR, and never came to any harm.

Yep I can remember power washing carpets and seats although in most cases we took the seats out first, this was at a garage that handled a lot of Jap imports and these cars were fresh off the boat.

In Italy at the moment its around 35 to 40 degrees, especially in the south so it may have dried out very quickly and not done as much harm as first appears.

I think he's doing it as some kind of revenge - could be a dealership loaner, and last time they complained because he returned the car with a dirty interior or something?
