Didn't want to do a what car thread but I am Struggling

I am selling my Saab 9-5 Aero as I fancy a change and I don't keep my daily drivers long apart from 2 instances.
I previously had a MK1 MX5 Turbo and loved it, very reluctant sale, I also had an Impreza Blob eye WRX and loved it but had to sell it due to a long commute to work. These are the only 2 day to day cars I didn't get bored with.
Now I have had loads of 4x4's that the Mrs now uses and we don't change very often, she is happy with her Jeep V8 and we have an old Jeep cherokee for green laning and of roading.
I have had bmw's, Octavia VRS, Mondeo, etc etc see my garage for previous cars.
My criteria is:
£3500 max
Needs to seat 4
Needs to get my daughters push chair in
Want something with a decent turn of pace
From the 2 cars I have wanted to keep I think I prefer a more involved drive (Saab is point and watch the horizon get close very quickly).
Around 100k max miles
Upto around 10yrs old
MPG average of low 20's is ok.
All I have come up with is an Impreza WRX saloon or wagon?
What else is out there?

Surely ruinous as a daily car though. Very thirsty, very short service intervals, steep insurance etc etc? It'll make the WRX Impreza look like an eco-car by comparing running costs.
This is what puts me off with an Evo, the Subaru we had was not to bad to run and insure etc, it was only the 1000 mile a week I started doing meant I needed a cruiser for the commute.This is now about to end and I will be based within 30mins from home for work.
