Taxing a car...

Car which is currently SORN passed its MOT today (31st of the month)and is insured as from today (can print a certificate online)

If I make it to a post office to tax it this evening am I able to get a tax disc starting from tomorrow?

Don't think so, why not just tax it tomorrow to save paying for a month of tax you've not used

Am meant to be playing golf tomorrow morning early doors and am wanting to take the car to the SS on Sunday.

It was my intention to avoid paying for the additional month when not necessary

Chance it and see I at the PO, they must have the September discs available. Or try taxing it at midnight online.

You can purchase a tax disc for next month now. So either pop down to the post office, or do it online if your insurers have actually put the policy up on the MID, along with the MOT.
