custom badge manufacturing

You will probably need to get it machined from solid, suggest you google polymer machining or something similar in google and see if there is anyone near you that can do it. They will measure up the old part and make you a new one.
If it's chrome finish, then it will need to be electroplated afterwards - as again, do a google search and see if anyone can plate it for you after it's been machined.
Cheers

RP is very expensive; the equipment is capital intensive so costs are high and their customer base are people who want things quick and are prepared to pay top money... plus you wont have a CAD model for it.
Cheapest way to get it done is knocked out of solid, probably on a manual machine in a jobbing shop.
Whereabouts in Sussex are you? (without being too specific if you dont want)

RP is a lot lot cheaper than it was even just a couple of years ago. With machining you pay for complexity (material is cheap) with RP you pay for volume (complexity is cheap). The cost of creating a 3d model is cheaper than programming a CNC machine tool for anything than a very simple part. A car badge is likely to be complex (still awaiting photo...)Cheapest way to get it done is knocked out of solid, probably on a manual machine in a jobbing shop.
