Peugeot 206 Electrical Problems, Any Ideas

So got a Peugeot 206 1.4 XS petrol, 51 plate and had a problem with the indicator stalk pivot being loose.
Replaced the whole control unit, COMM 2000, which had all the indicator, lights and wiper controls on it. Since then I have been unable to get the car to start. None of the indicators, wipers or lights work except the sidelights. Also the aircon, fan, radio or clock don't work at all.
When trying to start the engine will turn over but won't fire.
Did manage to get the COMM unit checked in another Peugeot and it was working fine.
At a bit of a loss with this now so does anyone have any ideas on how to get it going?
