I ordered my Audi last year in Feb and was told 12 weeks......7 months later was still waiting. Apparently they couldn't supply all the extra's i had specified. But they didn't have the sense to tell me that. In the end i gave up waiting, got my deposit back and brought a Jaguar XFR 100 which was sitting in the showroom with the spec i wanted. 2 days later i drove it away. Whats your best and worst experience???

Only new car I had was 2 weeks.

It was a company car, and I wanted rid of my own car, so purposefully ordered a spec and colour combo, that I had checked was in stock with Renault.

Ordered my Audi in August and was told it would be 7 months. Delivered six months to day in February but was kept up to date by Lings each week and was told each time the stage changed and the build date moved.

Someone else was telling me how they had been strung along by an Audi dealer about time for delivery, 12 weeks turned into 24.

My current car was from stock (traded from another dealer) so was going to be pretty quick - except there was a postal strike and they had issues getting paperwork sorted out for transferring plates.

When I looked last year they were quoting 5 months wait so didn't bother. This year it took about 8 weeks from order to it being in dealers, but picking it during week (first convenient time for me in Sept)

If it took Renault 2 weeks to get u the car, there was something wrong, if its in stock for me, (and within 100 miles) you can have it the next day, if its more than that, then it will be 4 days. Yours must have been in another country, and not what we consider "in stock"

Long time since I've had a brand new un, and those were all in stock apart from when I got the last Ford Escort GTI in the country, which was trailered up to Liverpool from somewhere down south. It was consequently nicked and because they couldn't replace like for like I got paid out invoice minus 10%. I'd bought it with my grandpa's 33% Ford employee discount so did rather well out of the deal...

I'd like to buy a new Beemer and do the thing where you pick it from BMW Welt in Munich and drive it back, but it seems to be mostly Yanks that do it.

Its was the A7. After a lot of phone calls Audi admitted they couldn't supply the spec i had asked for. But couldn't be bothered to tell me.

It was in 2001 - and no doubt had to be authorised internally, and involved a separate lease company and the fleet management company. They also had an issue with getting the 'factory' towbar fitted. It eventually came with the towbar, but a delayed install on the electrics.

Not surprised by the delays if you ordered 3 of them.
