Welding in Norwich

My '84 Porsche 944 lux failed its MOT partly because the nearside and offside suspension component mounting are excessively corroded (as is the near side seatbelt anchorage). Anyone else had problems in this area? The car is in a warm dry garage now, but the previous owner kept it outside. how much typically does this cost to weld up? I need to know some decent quality and priced welders in Norwich
Lastly the suspension arm is a bit corroded but if it's being welded in that area, is it worth replacing these to avoid future problems? Is this the same as the control arm? They seem to be about £25 each.

Time to buy a welder and learn yourself - that way you know the job is done properly - the std of MOT welding varies hugely and although I'm close to Norwich there isn't anyone I could recomend - maybe ask in the East Anglia section?

Thanks. I plan to learn to weld myself but when it's majorly structural I don't trust my first go to be on such an important area. I'll post in the East Anglia section. Thanks

No probs - but my advice wasn't that you pick up a welder and do that first - a good bit of prectice would be preferable.

there is a guy who advertises in Practical classics who basically rocks up with a camper and a trailer full of welding gear and lives on site depending on how long it takes.
