Should I Consider a Mk1 Toyota MR2?
Discussion
It's that time again, for no real reason I've decided I really like a particular car and start browsing the classifieds for it. This week, it is the original Toyota MR2. I've seen a great looking red one driving around here for a few months and it looks fantastic, so I kind of want one of my own. Browsing the PH classifieds, there aren't too many to choose from, but the ones there seem to go from shed money to around £4k. At the moment, I would be looking at the lower end of the market, however in the future I may be able to spend a little more if it is worth it.
I am drawn to the T Bar models, but a quick google reveals that these may be a bit leaky, have owners on here encountered similar issues? Obviously, I'm expecting to look out for some faults, these things are older than me, so what sort of issues would I be looking for? For the sort of budget I would be looking at, I don't expect a factory condition model, in fact I would prefer one that needs a bit of work doing to it, quite fancy a challenge! My ideal spec would be a white T-Bar with leather seats. My dad was going to get one like that when he was younger, however the arrival of me kind of ruined that!
