A rat in my tailpipe.

I was driving through Leicester one day and ended up at a junction behind a knackered mk1 Mondeo in all of its dented to buggery, gaffer taped glory. Upon performing an enthusiastic departure from the junction all of the baffling rodent exhaust dwellers shot out of the exhaust at great speed, in a cloud of brown smoke, leaving the car to sound like the exhaust had fallen off as it sped away, with the driver appearing largely unconcerned. Made me smile, anyway.

My guess is that it is the sound absorbing material that exhausts are packed with......or it could be a rabbit!
not an issue then?Run away! Run awayyyyy!!
Same thing happened to my Escort GTI exhaust back in the day. It was running like a dog for a week or two, when all of a sudden driving at 50 in 4th gear it took off like a rocket. Look behind me and there was the biggest ploom of black smoke. I thought I'd either broken it or fixed it, turned out that it was the fibreglass wool blocking the exhaust and I just blew most of it out in one go.
