Anyone hear of a stream or anything to any event? I'm disgracefully fascinated by eco boxes at the moment.

I predict Aston Martin/Porsche 911 levels of looking very very slightly different to the Mk6, or a big Polo, but still being called an amazing new design.

Hasn't the new one only been out three or four years? Will this not be a facelift of that rather than a new model?

You have the Internet and want to stream the preview day of the MK7 Golf? Well you have 2 choices:

1. Go to your local VW Dealer today and pull the corner of your eyes really far apart and you will miraculously see the MK6 transform into the MK7 before your eyes; or

2. Liveleak or xhamster. Much more interesting.

It's not going to be revolutionary in looks.

It should look different to the 6 as it seems they come out in pairs so to speak.

MK1 and 2 look similar. 3 and 4. 5 and 6.

So the 7 should look different IMO

It doesn't.

It looks like the Mk.6 and the current Polo had an extremely dull baby.

the mk5 and mk6 golf shared the same platform. MK6 was essentially a more lean production then the mk5.

They will be using the new 'MQB' platform which will be used on a much wider variety of models.

It's got a front like a posh Polo, a swage line, and the rear lights come down the side to the bumper at an angle like the Mk4.

At least I've got something to help me sleep tonight.

FFS..I would not buy a new Golf nowadays. Get it just after release and in a couple of years you are in the old model!!..poor designers, lack of corporate confidence or cynical marketing to rival the England Football Team?!..getting las regular as a Now Music Compilation!..

..I remember the days when VAG cars lasted nearly a decade between new model release, and they were normaly best in class for the duration

Just like the current Astras, the wheels look far too big.

They size up the wheels to make it look smaller. That means it's probably about as large as Belize.
