Thanks everyone for posting. Fingers crossed it will be recovered.
the car had 5 miles of diesel in it as was due to fill up in the morning. I went to all of the local garages, no drive offs but unfortunately they dont record overnight transactions. Well, at least not that they would give me.
drove round for hours earlier trying to find it.
dont learn the hard way, tracker, bolted key safe and disclock.

Interesting, I once had to trace a payment from the BP on the A3 outside Guildford. They had every payment recorded down to the minute they were taken. Can't say it's the same for all though..?the car had 5 miles of diesel in it as was due to fill up in the morning. Tracker yes, but I wouldn't want to risk being confronted with intruders in the middle of the night asking me for they keys to my car. Rather they took the car and left me well alone.the car had 5 miles of diesel in it as was due to fill up in the morning. Hope you get it back and the thieves get caught. Take a look round some back streets and quiet spots locally. Often these are taken and left near by to see if they are tracked. If they return and It's still there they take it. Their was a thread a while ago about a 1M stolen with a decoding tool and thieves made their own key from a blank brought with them. Good luck, most important thing is your family are ok, lumps of metal can be replaced.
Thanks chaps. I hope I get it back also. No word from the police as of yet and have emailed Eurotunnel to see if my registration mark has been captured on their cameras.
Am planning to drive around again this evening, this time heading out to Slough way to see if it has been parked anywhere there. I am certain that the 5 miles of diesel in the car wouldnt have got them too far and they may have opted to park it up nearby. I have checked the local hotels but nothing yet.

I understandyou must feel awful at your car going but can't understand why you are trawling the streets? Surely it will come up on an ANPR camera and you must have insurance too. What if you find it and approach who you think took it? Don't take the law into your own hands just leave them to deal with it I'd say.

Trackers can be jammed easily.
If they want something badly enough, they'll have it.
SENTINEL and GAARDIAN (GNSS Availability Accuracy Reliability anD Integrity Assessment for timing and Navigation) are a method against this, they track the disruption to GNSS/GPS to make a map of where people are using jammers. If they want something badly enough, they'll have it.
In the future using a GPS jammer could see you picked out just like ANPR as it's unlikely to be anything but privacy or criminal.

Amazing that they haven't changed the plates in 4 days! You would have thought they would have a dummy id ready if they are going to continue driving it on the road!
+1 Seems crazy not to? Camera's are everywhere, and if it's being driven im shocked it took 4 days!Hope this leads to a recovery of the car!
