American Police driving skills - as if...

I saw just this on TV on one of those "Worlds wildest cop shootout road wars police action smash camera" shows:

Now, I'm sorry but I really have to call bullst on the commentary. The donut-chewing officer in his big, heavy, softly sprung awful-handling cruiser doing 90 MPH did NOT use catlike reflexes to avoid the scrote on the floor. He simply ploughed straight off the bend and lost it big-style just like the car he was pursuing, and was damn lucky he span instead of rolling. Using good driving skill would have been reading the road ahead and slowing down sufficiently to stay on the road during the corner until he could see how tight it was - a "discretion is the better part of valour" type of driving practised (on the whole) so well by the much better trained high speed pursuit officers in the UK..

what winds me up about those american shows, all the squealing tyres (or tires I suppose!) and sirens recorded from the Helicopter - wouldn't it be a bit noisy up there for them to record all that?

He lost control waaaayyy back before the grass even started. Very poor driving, even worse commentary and utter bullst spewing from his mouth.

Haven't you seen Blue Thunder? they use these awesome directional mics that can hear through walls and stuff. They have to filter out the sound of fleas playing double bass on the cops' nose hair before they broadcast.
