Nothing like seeing a powerful car being used for it's intended service, particularly when you think you are moving at a decent clip and you get left sitting. Audi TDI drivers hate it, but I love seeing a faster car pull up next to, me and then just rip off into the distance. The first car that ever did that was what I later learned to be a 700bhp Supra (which is currently onsale locally, and has been for over a year now), needless to say, my 60-odd bhp Fiesta didn't stand a chance.

I saw a black one pin it from the lights yesterday - like you say they really squat down and go !

Sounded fabulous.

Reminds me of when I had my GTR, back in aug 09.

Doing John o groats to lands end for charity, approx 2am ish on the m5, nobody about, wife asleep, me cruising along at 80-90 mph ish.

Notice in my mirrors some lights gaining very very quickly, pulled up beside me, another GTR, bear in mind there were only about 50 in the country back then.

Spent a pleasant hr chasing south towards Exeter services at reasonable knots.

Lol nope from the unburnt fuel

It is the second GTR I've seen in Berkshire and the only two I've even seen ... And guess what one was being utterly nailed near Marlow up the A404 from the roundabout to the M40 truely spanked I didn't even try to give chase ten or even have a play as was working but this time had a play didn't care he utterly spanked me just good fun seeing cars driven properly made my day after a hard slog that's for sure.

One of the girls at work had one for a short time, managed to get a run out in it as a passenger, it was great. Almost no drama as you nail it, just squats and goes.
Coming out of the hospital walking back to the car with my girlfriend and mum, one is sat at the car park barrier. Must have seen me looking as he pulled out of the car park with a bit of gusto and it made a lovely deep grumble, even my mum commented on the noise.

I love seeing things like this.

My best one to date is walking home in the small hours of new years day and having to cross the A45.

As I walked up to the crossing there happened to be a Fiesta ST along side an 09 plate BMW M5, the Fiesta launched off the line with the BMW cruising away slowly for the first 60ft or so then completely nailed the throttle, wound up the V10 and disappeared biggrin

I had a smile on my face for the rest of my journey home

Our Le Mans convoy this year was a Viper, Tuscan, 911TT, SLS, R8 Spider and a GTR. The GTR wasn't slow even in that lot!

I love it! Pull up next to a car windows down, radio off, and just listen to the grumble, puts a smile on my face everytime! Was behind a gt3 rs yesterday, saw me perving at it, so he give it some welly! Sounded brilliant!

You bastids!

I was meant to be in work by 8am, but I've just spent the last half hour on YouTube drooling over GTR's.....I'm now looking at them on the classifieds. hehe

Serious question, are GTR's expensive to run? Ignoring fuel of course. Naturally it may hurt the service history but are they able to be serviced by myself or an independent? If the prices keep on falling the way they are, I might be in a position to buy one in a couple of years!
