Can anyone recommend as good car wash where I can clean my own car in central London please. I live near London Bridge and have all my own buckets, mitts, soaps, polishes, lotions and potions but like most flats in central london I have no access to running water or electricity.

Can anyone suggest a place which has a decent jetwash and taps so I can wash my car properly as I have a friend's wedding coming up and I said I'd take him to the church so I want my car to look it's best.

Thanks biggrin

Afraid I don't know a self serve one, but there is a "hand car wash" place near you that I think is MUCH better than the average, they're always very careful and listen to things I ask them etc. I'm even considering taking the 7 down there...

Head down Borough High Street, right on to Borough road and it's on the left after about 100m.

I don't have access to an outside tap, so I walk down stairs with buckets of water and do the rinsing with several trips with a watering can.

Seems to work.

I can get my hose pipe from the yard through the house to the street, and have a power washer.

We planning on washing the fleet this evening (Maida Vale). You bring the beers, and you welcome to come smile

Helpful. However, I'm not allowed to was my car outside on the street as it is double yellows everywhere and Hitler-esque traffic wardens and Police. I am also not allowed to wash it in the underground parking beneath my building either.

Killboy, that's for the offer mate, I'm out tonight with the groom so can't but very kind offer all the same. beer

It's not that bad in london! wink

There are jet wash places at service stations but I'm not sure if they'll protest if you hang around on site doing hand washing/drying etc. Perhaps as long as you don't get in the way of other people using the jet wash they won't mind.

There's a BP down in Balham where there is some reasonable space near the jet wash - 266 Balham High Road - between Balham and Tooting Bec tube stations.

Does anyone know of a place with a self service pressure washer in North London?

Not far from Islington is ideal, but happy to travel for a good site.

Been looking for a while and no luck!

Thanks

Holy crap. I couldn't live like that. It was bad enough in my last place with parking bays!
