How crazy would I be to buy an F40?
Discussion
I am in the fortunate position of having a spare £500K.
All my life an F40 has been the car I would ask for if I could have anything I wanted. I am now in a position where I could make it a reality.
I could do something sensible with the cash, but you only live once and I thought that if I find one with the fuel bags done and the belts recently changed I could own an F40 for a year or so without loosing a complete fortune.
Am I mad?

Can't see them depreciating, unless you drive it.
If we prepare a chart of the value of the F40, it suggests that things go up, and also down (like stock markets) - even without taking into account the real value of money.if I had 5 million spare, i'd buy the F40 at £500k.
Any other cars you fancy?
There is NO WAY that I won't drive it. I want to do a European trip and some UK trackdays. Prepared to spend what it takes to keep it together, but the confusing thing for me is understanding the prices. There is one in the classifieds for 499 that just sold! others are at 300-350 mark. What is so special about the 499 one??
