Blood delivery cars

Saw a blood delivery car on blues and two's taking ages to get through traffic yesterday and thought why use cars? Surely motorbikes would be much quicker, no?

They do but not everyone who drives for them has a bike licence.

I had to replace the rear door on my Saab a while back and the window glass for the replacement had a large medical supplies sticker on it.

For some reason near to me, they use transit vans.

I would of also thought a vehicle is safer for the organ/blood in the event of a crash.

Also whilst a bike would be quicker for urgent jobs you couldn't use it for transporting routine supplies in bulk.

No real reason for posting this but there you go.

Motornikes are good for short journeys but not really useful for longer trips, I believe the temperature control is more difficult to achieve. Rare to need to urgently have blood delivered from another site.
