Decent performance car with 35mpg+?

Is there such a thing?

I'm going to be replacing my MG ZT CDTi fairly soon - it's been a great car and I'll be sad to see her go, but I crave more power! Here's what I'm looking for in my next car :

1) Large car/barge as I'm 'powerfully built' (something a bit bigger than my existing car ideally)
2) Decent power + power delivery
2) 35mpg+ motorway mileage, reliability essential.
3) Cost £10k max (up to 6 years old). Condition is FAR more important than mileage.
4) Nice looks that wouldn't seem too out of place in an executive car park. Although left field looks would be considered for the right car!

Diesel or petrol, I'm happy with either. Coupe or saloon would be preferable over other styles.

I haven't looked tonight, but last time I did leggy ones were very close to £10k? In that case a 35i - mine got 35mpg on a 70ish mph cruise. There are a couple of private sale coupes on AT at £10k
