Thanks to my local council resurfacing all the roads in my area I now have large streaks of what I assume is tar on the near side sill, roughly from the wheel arch to the end of the door!

What's best to remove it please?

Autoglym Bug & Tar Remover... spray on, let it soak in for a few minutes, and it should come off with a microfibre cloth without much fuss smile

Whatever you use, be aware that it will likely strip off any wax/sealant you might have on the car, so it would be worth giving it a fresh waxing afterwards.

FWIW I've used Autoglym tar remover and more recently Tar-X (when it was on offer from Clean your car)
