Small cars - Girly ?

Hi guys, i was reading the article the other day about the new fiesta coming out and was speaking to friends about it. They all seem to think small cars are "girly" . Interestingly enough they couldn't put there finger on what was girly about them just there size. So what do you think . Do any of you drive small cars or super minis and what do you think of them personally i reckon there is nothing wrong with them and would rather have a top speck fiesta than a basic slow Mondeo with the same engine for the same price .
It's all a matter of opinion. I've just bought a pre reg Fiesta Titanium 1.6 petrol. I traded in a Leon Cupra TDI which I really grew to dislike. Financially the Fiesta ticks all the boxes and I can in have fun without risking my license!
Personally I don't care what other people say, it's down to yourself what you want.

Some small cars look pretty manly, it is down to the shape of the car not the size of it, cars that are quite round and bubbly (new beetle, fiat 500, old tt, mk1 yaris, Mini, KA etc) have girly curves about them. I wouldn't class a fiesta as girly at all though unless you get the purple one on the advert, in S trim in white the fiesta looks pretty manly to me.
A more accurate description might be Small rounded curvy cars = girly.
FYI, I drive a Mini and i've also had a yaris, bks to anyone who says they're a girls car, who cares if they're fun to drive and do what I need them to do!

I completely agree but for some people its the bigger the better . - Drive what you want to drive and forget about how other people perceive you.
Of course some cars look more 'girly' and some hatchbacks imo have female drivers in mind (107,C2 etc)
Lets not forget most women prefer to drive small cars which coincidentally look 'petite' (small is feminine)

On the flip side, could you ever call a Fiesta manly?

I used to use a Ford Sportka to commute in quite a lot, and my colleagues - ex Navy / RAF / Army used to take the piss and call it a ford handbag.
Never bothered me in the least as it was a cracking little car to drive.
I did look ridiculous getting in and out at 6'5" but again, who cares.
Man up or come out of the closet.

I drive a red Fiesta Zetec-S and a white Mk1 Golf Cabriolet. Both cars could be said to be pretty girly, I suppose. I, however, couldn't give a flying knob - both cars go decently well (the Golf moreso, admittedly) and don't owe me much (I own both outright), which is really all that matters.
