Whats the best Dealership or Car Shop you have visited?

As car guys and girls most of us will have visited various dealerships, restoration shops, race car shops etc etc so I have decided to start a thread dedicated to shops that if you are in the area you really should visit. As the world is a shrinking place these shops could be anywhere in the world. We are very lucky in the UK that we have what can only be described as some of the best shops in the world and I have been lucky enough to have visited a few of those.

But to start this thread I would like to recommend one of my favourites as a must see if you are ever on the West Coast of America and that is "Canepa Design" run by one of the coolest guys in the world Bruce Canepa. What is amazing about this place is the diversity, the cars range from Can Am monsters to Hotrods to Ferrari's and NASCAR and everything in-between. And not only are they a dealer but the restoration shop is almost second to none. I had to be dragged out as I thought I had died and gone to heaven

So recommend to the rest of us other shops or dealerships that should be on our bucket list, they can be big or small, restoration, race whatever. Over to you guys

Mine is definately Hexham Horseless Carriages TVR, Lotus and Noble dealers.

I could spend hours in there looking at the stock! Well worth a visit.

Joe Macari's. Went to pick up Ferrari following some bodywork repair back in March during the fuel strikes! The service manager Andy spent about an hour or so showing me around the service shop, engine shop, parts store. Then I wandered around for a bit poking my nose in here, there and everywhere (Evans' Chitty Bang Bang was in there).

I left for the 70 mile drive home with the fuel warning light on but confident that there was a garage around the corner that still had fuel. Doh- they'd run out. So back to Macari's for some help. They rolled out drum of fuel and stuck in about 30 litres for free.... By which time a very clever transporter had turned up to load a few rather tasty motors (F 250GT and and Aston if memory serves) to be sent down to a buyer in Switzerland. Transporter had blocked me in so I had to spend more time sticking my nose in various cars around the place.

Quick nip over to pick up the car on the way back from working in London turned into about 3 hours by which time the sun had come out for my hoof back down to the south coast. Took a few days to wipe the grin off.

Super place, super cars, super service.

Bloody magic.
