Just got the insurance quote and it its within 100 of what I am paying for the CL500 so that is another barrier fallen

Performance cars of any description- from an Abarth 500 to a Veyron- are not "head" purchases. They're "heart" purchases. If you can afford it and you want it, why not?

I don't understand these threads. Do you really want talked out of a car you want? If so, why? Or are they about group approval for buying it or something I've missed?

It's like starting a thread saying "I hate Audi A3s; I've got the money waiting and a test drive lined up. Tell me why I ought to buy this hated car."

Aside from that, I like Maserati a lot and if I had the money I'd buy one happy to accept the flaws and costs. I hope you enjoy it you buy it-lovely things. Go for it!
