It's bloody hard!

Van is washed, black bits are black, service history is in the van, 11 months MOT, 5 months tax - no one will touch it. It's a '54 reg Fiat Ducato SWB with a genuine 94,000 on the clock.

Any tips? What else can we do?

You could come up with a slightly less obvious ad?

Maybe a 50ft tall flashing neon sign?

Stick it on Autotrader and then it's simply a matter of price.

yes

More often than not, if you've had no interest, it'll be down to price.

What odd replies!

Not advertising on here - no details - you don't have any idea what area it's in, and I'm willing to bet there aren't many PHers around here!

We've not set a bottom price. We're well aware it will be three figures, more than likely beginning with less than a 7.

Anywhoo...

Still it on Ebay on a auction listing. Problem solved.

That's what I do sometimes if I've got a bit of stock that won't shift.

Reserve/starting price is too high then.

Having sold plenty of light vans on Ebay myself over the years I find that extremely unlikely, sorry.

Perhaps I should've rephrased my OP :

Stick it on Ebay on a 'no reserve' auction listing. Problem solved.

The bottom line is that you think it's worth more than it actually is. As a general guideline, the middle ground between what the top bid was and what you're wanting for it is roughly what the van is worth.

The van was listed on eBay with a starting price of 99p and no reserve. It did not sell!

See why we're getting frustrated with this?

Edit : As of this evening we have secured a deal on the van. Thanks for all's input.

scratchchin

No completed listings within last 60 days on Ebay within an 80 mile radius of PE25 for a 2004 van that matches your description, and nor are there any current listings that match either.

I think you are only telling us half the tale.. scratchchin

Which half would that be?

It has been on eBay twice. Just had the invoice for the fees!

As I said, pointless debate as it is now sold.

It's a shame you're not trying to sell a late model Navara as they go for silly money.
