Decided to pop over to the Donington Grand Prix collection as a more interesting stop to break up a long journey, rather than just going to a service station. Had a look round and its definitely worth a trip for those of you who havent been. I was told by a member of staff, that there was a track day taking place. I decided to pop along and discovered it was a test session for whole variety of racing cars old and new. The pics arent the best quality as they were taken on a helmet camera.

Thats the Nissan GTR car used in the Gran Turismo playstation game competition, the winning drivers were there, one of them looked about 6! The car nearly knocked me over minutes later as they pushed it out of the garage.

McLaren would send the car out for a few laps and then bring it in to the scrutineers bay and take tyre pressures etc and then send it straght back out again.

Frank Wrathall was there too.

The Group C car there is a Jaguar, there were a few others too. |http://thumbsnap.com/QCp1eku2[/url]
The car park was too shabby either, there was also a 458 in white with a carbon roof and Black series AMG thing.
Any ideas what the car above is?

There were a few 1970's F1 cars there and Porsche's too.
Here's a few short clips:

Absolutely, must have been several million quids worth of car there easy. It was nice to watch the drivers pushing the cars and to see their consistency and sometimes lack of it! The access to the pit lane and paddock was amazing, no restrictions whatsoever. There was only me and about 3 other people there watching, the rest were pit crew. Definitely need to go to another one.

I got the impression it was a classic car judging by the sound it made, maybe a lola?

If you are talking about the blue and yellow sports car (formatting is a bit screwy on this PC), then it is a March 75S
