Another what car thead

Looking to change the motor, currently drive an 06 BMW 3-Series E90 318d, remapped to 170bhp. Basically looking for something a bit quicker, being only 23 i have to remember insurance is expensive, so no silly suggestions please.

Basically the only criterias i have are, it has to be 180bhp+ diesel, and it has to look good So it doesnt matter if its 4-door saloon or 2-door coupe.

So what have you got?

haha its not that, it has to be diesel as i use the car for travelling to work and back

Insurance is slightly too expensive when i checked on the price comparison website but im going to check directly with my own insurance company tomorrow morning. If i was going for another beemer i really would want it to be a 330

Jeez oh lad, git yoursel' a big oul Oddy A4 lad, stick a set a 20s of her, git her chipped, cut the springs in hawf, she'll have more lift than any oul Beemer. Stick some RS4 badges on the back if her and the fanny'll be swarming round so they will.

LMAO!! i actually near pissed myself laughing when i read that :L Parts of NI are like that, mostly up in Magherafelt, we dont have many cars like that where i live though :P

Well the obvious next step up from a 318d isn't a 330d, it's a 320d. Although, honestly, I don't see the point. You have had it a short period of time, you've extensively modified it, what would another 3 Series with slightly more grunt really offer you apart from something fresh to fiddle with?

Alfa Romeo 159 2.4 JTD. 200bhp as standard, 5 cylinders (so sounds a bit more interesting than most diesels), and those looks.

Absolutely no point going for a 320d, if im going for another BMW it needs to be 6cyl and have a decent amount of grunt but i understand what you mean, maybe i need something fresh

That is a good looking car, but they are very long in the tooth now, reminds me of an old mans car and not to mention the reliability issues of an Alfa

I saw one of these, they are pretty nice but not as sharp as a 330d

You need a white A4 clearly (with super bright DRLs and 20" replica RS wheels)

For what it's worth, I've put a fair amount of miles on that generation of C-Class (in a C220 to be precise), and I prefer it over the 3er overall.
