British car, Spanish parking ticket - will they find me?

My Spanish is terrible, I parked illegally, I got a ticket. Obviously I *will* pay up, but if hypothetically I didn't pay, will they catch up with me back in the UK?
Incidentally, the Germans didn't get back to me after a similar offence in 2006 and I reckon they'd be more organised than the Latinos.

But I have my car with spanish plates here and the fines do not arrive to Spain so I doubt they will arrive from Spain to UK. So depends on your morality to pay it or not.

Me and some buddies used to go all over Spain on Superbikes...and all the nickings we've had have been after being pulled up by the rozzers...so we've had to pay up on the spot.
One year however I was hospitalised with horrendous food poisoning. Despite having a Euro 'E111' form - to cut a long story short, I had to leave and discharge myself from the Hospital before they wanted me to.
A few months later, I got a couple of bills through the post to my English address - from the Spanish Hospitals. All in Spanish.
I just ignored them - and since then, nothing else has arrived...
So I'd say - don't sweat it - just forget it!

A few months later, I got a couple of bills through the post to my English address - from the Spanish Hospitals. All in Spanish.

So I'd say - don't sweat it - just forget it!

No creo que sea facil pagar desde UK, por que dudo que te llege a UK. jajaja Yo no me preocuparia y si te llega y te indican como pagarla y las consecuencias de no pagarla, entonces la pagas. Pero permiteme que dude que te llegue, no hay esos recursos en España. I got a parking ticket in Germany when I left a UK rental van outside a rural hotel overnight. The space was legal but the ticket was given for facing the opposite direction to the flow of traffic on that side of the road. I must say I didn't know that was an offence. As it was a rental van I never paid it and am still waiting for the German authorities to track me down. This was 18 years ago and remains the only parking ticket I have ever received.
