Privacy glass, + front windows.

Is it permissible to tint the front windows at all, I see many cars with identical dark front and back tints, some with a lighter shade up front. I think this looks better than the sharp contrast of back privacy glass and plain glass up front.

I know the law is against front tints, but to what degree?

Usually the car company will have already tinted the front glass to the legal maximum.

At least 70% light must be able to pass through the front side windows which allows for a 30% tint. However the majority of cars from the factory are already tinted to this degree which doesn't allow much more tinting.

Having said that, mine are tinted darker although not as dark as my rear windows and I haven't been pulled in 6 months.
