Not thinking of buying one but just wondering why they seem to fly under the radar, are they that bad?
I think they look ok,maybe they're cheap on insurance for young 'uns?.

My friend inherited his dads after he died. He chopped in his DC2 ITR because the Savvy was cheaper to run etc.

He still has it 3 years later. No issues, says that it isnt too bad to drive either.

I know it's more marketing than anything else with these sort of things but wasn't the chassis development done by Lotus?

No sure, I know the Satria Gti was apparently fettled by Lotus, not sure about something as bargain bin as the savvy however.

Cars that are so small and light tend to be fun no matter the make or model.

My sister had one for a while not a bad car but not brilliant. The engine is a little guntless odd sized tyres which were expensive if i remember correctly, nasty interior and seats awkward steering wheel to grip i could go on.

But in the year and half my sister owned one apart from normal service items it needed a new coil pack which was 40 quid and another weak point is the power steering switch is in a poor place so can deteriate and crack losing all your pas fluid and it's a main dealer only part costing over £100 for a switch no bigger than a 50p peice.

I wouldn't advice buying one.
