Replacing my rotten sump, which uses a liquid gasket, on a little 3 cyl 1.0 engine

what kind of product(s) / method(s) is best to apply to the new sump which would be temperature resistant as appropriate for a sump to help prevent against the new one rotting?

Thanks

Hermetite Red...use 'sparingly' not like a thick bead of 'liquid rubber'.

thanks, but it was the underseal type that I was looking for a recommendation for smile !

You know daihatsu charged me £185 for the sump pan (rang lots of daihatsu dealers, couldn't find a good one at a scrappy anywhere)

has to be the biggest rip-off ever!
