Aston Martin DB7 conversion to the DB4 GT Zagato

I saw and advert in Classic Car magazine for a DB4 Zagato replica based on a DB7
The company is called Evanta (they did the Airfix DBR1 http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=23&...

Anyway I thought I share this as it looks fabulous to me and a great way on turning a DB7 into a stunning, unique car.

They won't sell it for less than an Eagle Etype so I'd hazard 250k ballpark.

For which you could get a real DB4 which makes it an interesting judgement call if it is built well like the Eagle product.

Wierdly, I wouldn't want one based on a db7 either. Paying a lot of money for a load of irritating electrical issues. It would make more sense to buy one of their full creations?

I've been following the development of this during the past few months. The finished article looks ridiculous: they must be rather embarrassed to have got the proportions so wrong after all the work that went into it. I'd rather have the original DB7 to be honest. 2/10 from me.

To be fair they do offer a scratch built spaceframe version if you want a acurate replica. The DB7 route would probably be a fair bit cheaper and give you 90% of the looks. No idea how much they would cost though.

Pretty-ish. But not worth ruining a DB7 for in my opinion.

And the DB7's better looking anyway (pre-vantage lights).
