"Falling back in love" with your car...
Discussion
I bought a new (to me) car back in March that, upon collection, I noticed had a few minor issues. After a long fight with the dealer, I have finally got the biggest niggle sorted this week.
During the whole debacle, the car really meant nothing to me. I washed it once, the interior became disgusting and I really didn't care for it all - I had no emotional attachment or sense of pride associated with it at all. It was just a car to me.
However, having the niggle sorted has now restored my sense of pride & I washed, polished, hoovered, shone it yesterday to a point where it looks like it has just come out of the showroom. I've booked it in for an oil change and have ordered a couple of parts to rectify one of the other niggles.
It's not a crap car by any means (B7 S4 Cabriolet in Dolphin Grey with black leather, sitting on 20 spoke wheels) and by rights, I should have felt this proud from day 1, but the long fight I had just made me consider it as nothing more than a tool for work.
It surely can't be just me who feels like this....
