What can replace a Honda Accord?
Discussion
Seriously? I'm bored of my Honda Accord and fancy a change.
I honestly can't see what I can replace it with? I bought the Honda with my head rather than my heart and it is what I thought it would be. Quick, comfy, reliable and well specced.
I'd appreciate any suggestions as to what I can replace it with? Sensible(ish) ideas please, bearing in mind that it does the 15 mile run to work, the school run and knocks about with kids and bikes in it so an estate is probably preferable.
When I think about it, for the money I really can't see what I can buy for £4k that's gonna be a suitable alternative.
I had V6's and a V8 before this and just fancy something that feels that bit more 'pistonheads'
Mod edit: no ads on the forum please

Yeh, thanks. I've been looking at the Stagea....they look okay if a bit dated. Surely it'd have to be the turbo though?
BMW's are an obvious choice....a nice 330i or 530i preferably manual would fit the bill......for the same money they all seem to be much higher mileage than the Honda.
Usual suspects I guess.....ST220, Impreza, Alfa 156GTA at a push, Mazda 6 MPS if I can live with a hatch.
Just not sure I can really replace the Honda with something equally as good for not a lot more money.

Concensus seems to be that I am being optimistic on the price of the Honda.....surely it's worth £3k?
It certainly looks in great condition, but high RFL and low mpg (I had a 2.4 auto Accord Tourer and managed 26mpg average) will put off a lot of prospective buyers.Good luck though.
Lexus LS450!
edit: LS430 here, in budget and only 65k miles!

Not sure what can replace it. All I know is, 8 years after replacing my brand new 2 litre ivtec accord with various fun or practical stuff, I miss my Accord...
Reliability, practicality, build quality all 2nd to none. If you bought an Accord, it was probably was for these reasons. There is nothing else that comes close.

Jumped from 2.4 Exec into 3G Lexus GS300 - would've had E60 530i if most weren't poverty spec'd for budget.
Completely different car, and the Accord was a good car, but all things considered, the GS300 is a helluva marked improvement over the Honda, and trounces the Legend Honda finally gave up on trying to flog in 2010.
So there is life after a Honda Accord.
