Bit of an odd sight this morning...

Two recovery vehicles parked up outside my office....

One had a brand new BMW X5 M50d with foreign plates and a Saab 9000 which also looked brand new (!) with no plates on it and no trace of any previous plates having been fitted.

The other had two American yellow cabs, both old with no plates and a couple of standard spec german cars with german plates.

Weird, or just me?

Any large trucks parked up nearby? Film crew stuff? Are you in an iconic or well-known location? Any museums or galleries around that might display such stuff?

City area is used for filming a lot on weekends, because it's so empty

Just where I was going. City doubling up as somewhere else perhaps? (German plates)

Actually, I hadn't made the connection, but there's a MASSIVE white 'RV' type vehicle parked down one of the side streets along with massive trailer. So I think you could be on the money.

BTW i'm right near the gherkin.
