Hello all. So it's Saturday and I Pull up @ local Sainsbury's car-park under-cover and Paid for an hours parking to nip into city centre and grab a couple of presents for my sons Birthday. Come back to car with 3 minutes left to see it boxed in with empty supermarket Trollies tied together by their cords and a large scratch down the side of my car!! furious Ticket Officer is next to car looking around and spots me walking to car and stops me.

1 "(Attendant) Hello sir is this your car?"
2 "(myself) Yes and what the Fcensoredk is that!"
1 "Well you have parked in a no-parking spot and it seems some bikers have had a good go at your car"
2 "Er, So who the Fcensored is going to pay for the damage then and where is the Fcensored sign?"
1 "There sir on the wall"
2 "Really?" - At this point I have no glasses on but can make out a white box sign on wall some 11 paces away. It turns out it says no parking and I have parked in a bikers spot (There were no bollards or patched yellow markings in this space, just a sign out of eyesight unless you knew to look on a wall the other side of the walk-around-pavement behind the space)
1 "I could of booked you but it seems that the local bikers have done a good job on your motor and left a rather unpleasant message on your windscreen"
2 "What the Fcensored"
1 "I have taken down the registrations of the 2 bikers that did that to your car should you choose to make a complaint or claim they hit it. There is no CCTV so they think they got away with it and smiled when they walked off"
2 "Erm, okay. So why is this a no parking space with no markings in the actual car park or signs in the near vicinity"
1 "The council want to make money basically mate, I don't agree so I have maybe 4 or 5 cars a day that I help out. I give out tickets where they are due but when idiots above me don't listen to request to sort out the signage from me, I won't screw people over"
2 "Well thanks I guess"
1 "Just make sure you don't pop in the spot again ( winked at me and walked off )

Now I was shell shocked at the damage that these biker Pcensoreds did, but at the same time so shocked that a parking attendant didn't book me that I just moved the trollies and then proceeded to spot some youths turn up and kick the bike a bit and run off without me getting a good look at them of course.

Any body else have a show of Actual humanity from an attendant or are they all Ars*s near you?

tldr - attendant should of given me a tickt but didn't as twunts on bikes vandalised my car

From that I read; gGy with bad eye site doesn't read signs properly, and parks where he shouldn't. Bikers getting pissed off with cars parking in their spaces (excusable) but take it too far to vandalism? (not excusable) confused

I'm at work but will post a photo when able. Its a dent in the driver door, looks like the handle of a trolley (may just be drawing conclusion) just under the car door handle.

The sign wasn't near the actual parking bay so even with glasses I wouldn't of realised the sign was for said car park. It was across a pavement on a wall of an adjacent property (the pavement is the width of maybe 2 cars similar to any standard high street one) So I would of presumed judging by the distance it was away, that It was for the high street and not the space with no markings across it. The glasses comment was me explaining that I couldn't read it anyway.

Does the 'R1' in your moniker suggest you too are a biker?

Ha, No, It Was an X-Box gamer tag that was generated for me when I first went online many moons ago. It has simply stuck as an online "alter-ego" ever since.

A traffic warden once let me off a parking ticket in a Southampton car park, it was 45 mins overdue

In my favour, a drunk had collapsed behind the car and it was blocked in by an ambulance

In the early 90's I had to make a delivery of some network cable to an Iceland store in Lincoln, as it was pre-satnav days I didn't have a clue where to go other than the centre. Stopped a traffic warden to ask directions who said it was better to escort me there rather than give the directions, he made a call on his radio to a colleague who turned up on a motorbike who did just that.

Goes to show they're not all nazi's
