Darlington to London on Thursday??

Strange request this one...

My partner purchased an oven (only 60cm square) through e-bay and its in Darlington....

I could arrange a courier but the oven has a glass front and the seller has not got the box but wrapped it in bubble wrap. I would not trust it in the back of a van.

I may have to make the 500 mile round trip but if anyone is travelling down from the Darlington area to the South on Thursday I would quite happily pay them well for their troubles. It will easily fit into the back of a car with the seats down in hatchback or even easier with an estate.

I drove my flatbed truck with a new windscreen for the Mustang placed on two old towels - it made it 150 miles home without breaking ... I'd bet that cooker door glass is pretty thick - and smaller and ot curved, so I think you're worrying unduly - a van could manage it!
