Killer App - the one that the Missus wanted in the new car!
Discussion
Recently come back from a family trip to Paris and then Spain ... when travelling on the auto routes through mountain regions (Central Massif & Pyrenees) the Missus really did not like the roll of the car (always around the speed limit). So much so that I discussed the active suspension option of the new 5 series, which straight away went on her wish list! We also had 'safety' issues with the hills and that of course needs to be rectified
So a bit more power required there ... eh um.
After another 1600 miles or so including the return journey with a few more 'lack of power'/'handling' incidents (none a real risk I should add!) I had gone through a list of new cars that fit the bill (too expensive and I will not take depreciation hit on a new car again!) and used cars that I said will fit the bill. Her requirements were Auto, 4 doors, 5 seats (3 kids are out of booster seats now), must look good and have good/comfortable suspension and some power to keep us out of trouble. Luckily enough I found a match soon after getting back and it was a instant hit on the 'looks good' front (big bonus) ... even luckier was the inclusion of active suspension and a few useful ponies so it was 'approved' forthwith. But that was before she was in it at full belt, too late ... lol!
The kids love the E60 M5 too .... gives them butterflies apparently!
What was it that your Missus wanted in a car such that you got what you really wanted?
