Section 2 of the driving licence application form D1 ask "If any of your details have changed since your last licence was issued please give the previous details below" It then gives an example. "Country you were born in" Don't worry guys, you're in safe hands !!!!!

It's pretty daft, but maybe not quite as daft as it looks. Countries do occasionally change - the former Czechoslovakia, for example.

I will always have been born in West Germany, regardless of what it's called now.
