Toyota Yaris T Sport

I have my eye on a Yaris T Sport but it has 92K on the clock but it is the right money.. It also has full SH and me and my dad have both drove it. No problems and seems an all round tidy car, my dad has been in the business all his life and thinks the car is a safe bet. I am worried about the milage still, are Toyota know for reliability? Will the car be good for another 20K if it is looked after?

Freind of mine has a gs and its tough as hell! Hardly cost him a bean in 11 years and circa 180k miles.

With a good history it'll do 20k EASILY.

93k is a low mileage vehicle these days.

You and your Dad have both driven it....but, grammar apart, there is no reason it shouldn't last twice that or more.

I had a Toyota Carina 1600 II which I bought with 101k on the clock and it ran like a watch. I also had a Corolla which had near 100k and the only thing wrong with that was the cambelt snapped eventually so make sure it is replaced and use quality oil.

The mileage is difficult to comment on without knowing the year, mileage and what price you're looking at.

A very under estimated little car in my option, I owned one in my youth and thoroughly enjoyed it. I fitted a set of TTE springs while it was in at my local dealer having a service which made it handle even better than it did standard and improved the looks.

The engine is very reliable but are known for using a bit of oil if worked hard, also they have a short 5th gear which means they aren't massively economical on a long run.

I still look at them today in the classifieds and would go as far to say that it was more fun than the Corolla TS I bought afterwards.

Sound like I should be pretty sound with this car and I will be having a lot of fun. I am 18 and it is £80 pound more to insure thatn a 1.25 fiesta haha.. Sorry about the grammar, I wasn't really concentrating.

Go for it. Good choice. Will be fine. Keep it serviced and the engine should be good for 150k++.

Heard good things about these, but bear in my mind though an Ignis Sport can more than likely be had for the same money but with half the mileage

Swift is a bit out my price range and I do prefer the Ignis but Co-op have downright refused to insure me on an Ignis so no luck as the policy is pre-paid.

I brought it, 92K FSH and got him down to 1725! Not a scratch on it and got a full tank too!

My friend has had a 1.0 Yaris as his daily beater from new and it's now covered over 200k.
It's been absolutely abused throughout its life and has been serviced no more than three times to date.
I actually think they're indestructible!
