Having picked up another daily driver today I decided to compile a list of all the cars I've owned in my 23 years of driving.
Makes for scary reading if you consider that most will have meant losing money(not all though) on each swap/purchase.

I'm sure some of you guys have even bigger lists but heres mine anyway in roughly chronological order often owning more than one at a time.

Thats an impressive list, and a lot of swapping over 23 years! I would like to in time own 14 of the cars on your list.

I've only managed 3 cars over 9 years a 206 I owned for 6 months, a Ford Focus 2.0ztec for 8 years, and recently a Alfa 156 JTD.

I thought about swapping my focus a few times but could never bring my self to do it, or afford the insurance premiums for something worthy of a swap.

crikey, such a huge list of cars. Would love to find out any people who have owned the fewest amount of cars over a long period. Maybe one person owning 1 car for 20+ years? perhaps a seperate thread would be needed for that. Love the idea of keeping 1 car for donkeys years.

1984 - a Citroen 2CV in orange - the parents gift......I wasn't overly happy at the time, looking back I now understand
Had 12 people in it with the roof down one time !
1985 - VW Golf Gti in black , a 1979 car , with the registration plate BMW 17V

Then moved to Holland in 1988....

White Golf Gti 1983 car LHD
Bought a white XR2 in UK , 1986 car and drive it in Holland
Back to UK again , Renault 5GT Turbo in Silver , 1989 car RHD
Saw a Renault 5GT Turbo in UK auto trader in Electric blue, it was LHD. Flew back, bought it in High Wycombe an drove it back to Holland ( after it broke down 20 minutes after buying it). Imported it , sold it to a Dutch mate.
Bought another Renault 5 GT Turbo ,later model Dutch car.
Fiat Strada ( truly horrible ) and a trashed Ford Fiesta.
Whilst back in UK for a weekend , bought another LHD car , 1989 Lancia Delta Integrale EVO2 - just amazing !
Changed jobs in Holland , new Audi A3 had just come out , company car had to be diesel so got the 1.9TDi ( great car) - but the Integrale had to go....moved house , no garage , was gutted ! Took car back to UK , left with John Whalley (Integrale Specialist) in BIshops Stortford on SOR - big mistake !!!
In the meantime Audi production delayed , had Hyundai Accent ( seats like wafers ) , Opel Corsa, Renault Laguna - first two were not much fun when doing a thousand miles a week minimum , the Renault wasn't much better !
1999....moved to Saudi for a year , had hire cars whilst working there , MItsubishi Lancer, Toyota 'something or other'
2000 back in UK , pool car , T Reg BMW 318iS
2002 brand new 330Ci Sport Convertible - opted out of the company car scheme.
2005 - 3 years to the day went to pay balloon on the 330 and walked out with a 2004 M3 Cab instead (loved the SMG gearbox)
2009 - loved the M3, only 40,000 miles on clock , car was immaculate..but fancied a change... got a 2004 996 C4S Cab in Black/Black.
2011 - 2005 Aston V8 Vantage ,sold the Porsche to the first person that rang aout 30 minutes after posting the ad on PIstonheads , Aston was too cheap to resist, just perfect but started to miss the soft top......
2012 - a 2008 Aston V8V Roadster........Yes Baby !!!!!

Over the last ten years that's my lot. The S6 was a stunning machine. I had a lot of love the Vectra GSi and hated the one derv that cast it's shadow in my driveway.
