Just a 'positive rant' biggrin

I have always maintained an intense hatred for the DVLA, especially due to delays in obtaining paperwork, calling through to their offices, and general confusion and bad advice from their part in the past.
However I had just retained my private plate due to plans to sell my car. Paperwork sent off last monday and was expecting to have to wait a few weeks. Incredibly the new logbook arrives today - welldone DVLA!

(Note: I don't work for the DVLA biglaugh)

Lower expectations until slow seems fast. Like it.

Recently swapped plates as well, all hassle free.

Best one was that the road tax reminder for 2 of my "fleet" arrived in the same envelope, thus saving one postage fee from our taxes.
Shouldn't impress me that it is that joined up but did.

I've had few dealings with the DVLA and none have presented problems, if that's what you mean...

generally organisations like the DVLA are damned to an unfairly negative perception, since when they do their job properly nobody notices. Only bad experiences get reported.

It's OK.. they've restored the balance by taking over a month (and counting) to deal with me having scrapped my last shed hehe

Where does he get one of them v 317 forms to do the erg transfer? I've been to three post offices and no one has them, and I only have a laserjet printer so getting one online only prints black and white. I'm not sure if they'd take it in black and white as they may think its a copy!,!,

all dvla local offices have them, or get one printed from an internet cafe!
