whats the going rate for man with a van car transport

Last time I had it done, a couple of years ago, I paid £100 for 60 miles.

Look on ebay, some advertise at £1 per mile IIRC.

It may be cheaper if you can wait until they are going your way for a return trip - when I had a classic brought from Manchester he charged about half price because I waited 3 weeks and he paired my job with another one.

I used anyvan.com a while ago, it's a bidding site.

Paid under £60 to have a 3-seater sofa delivered from 50 miles away (around the M25 so over an hour drive and Dartford crossing fees both way)
